A Couple Escape in Sicily

Our journey to Sicily in December 2025 began much earlier when we met Andrea in Montepulciano years earlier. Andrea is a wonderful host and super human being. 

How Our Luxury Travel to Sicily in December Began

We decided in the fall of 2025 to take a trip to Italy but we had no idea where to begin. When we reached out to Andrea he directed us to his staff at SBC and we connected with Alberto. The level of hospitality and care that Andrea had always shown us was seamlessly provided by Alberto. We gave him some basic criteria about our hope for decent December weather, food, wine and culture and he really took care of it from there. He provided us with 3 initial options. We ended up choosing Sicily, staying at an amazing secluded inn at the base of Mount Etna and then a stunning AirBnB in Taormina. The SBC team booked absolutely everything from private drivers, cultural tours, cooking classes, spa days, wine tours and restaurants. There is absolutely no chance we could have found the locations and experiences that Alberto provided for us even if we had spent months doing research on our own.

Why Sicily Is Perfect for a December Trip to Italy

We met so many wonderful people (hosts, staff, drivers, tour guide, winemaker). We felt so well cared for by everyone. Our 10 day vacation was packed with so many unique experiences that were meant just for us and we didn’t need to make one decision while we enjoyed each and every day. On top of all the hard work up front Alberto was always available to help us adjust things or answer questions. 

I would say that it was a trip of a lifetime but we are not done traveling. We will certainly use Alberto and SBC Estate Travel in the future to plan another unforgettable experience.
